I always wondered how these worked. The answer is... pretty good. I know that they are out of the door frame...the only thing I can think it would help is making it easier to break. Oh yeah and keep the glass more contained. With the Spyderco that doesn't affect it at all. The choate on the other hand needs all the help it can get. If you chose to do this at home please be careful. But it was alot of fun. And yes we did clean up ALL the glass. Next time we do this we're using a bigger tarp and break it on the basket ball court...were the glass would be easier to clean up...ugh
