Avalanches are common in these parts but today's was one of the largest this season and it happened near Everest base camp at the lower West Shoulder and crashed into the lower Icefall. No one was injured or killed from this avalanche. Only ice dust made it to base camp. Recorded by Keith Cowing, www.onorbit.com
